§ 5.6. Duty of committee chairperson.

It shall be the duty of the chairperson of any committee, standing or otherwise, to take all steps necessary to present all proposed ordinances, resolutions, motions, and other matters voted upon by the committee to a vote by the council. Any matter held for further deliberation by any such committee for any two general session council meetings must be reported to the council by the chairperson of said committee in which said matter rests, and failure of such chairperson to report such matter shall allow the sponsor of said matter to refer item to council.
