§ 114-36. Unlawful discharge generally.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful to discharge or deposit into any natural outlet, drainage channel or watercourse within the city any sewage, industrial wastes, garbage or any other substance which constitutes a nuisance or hazard to the public health or welfare, except the effluent from a properly designed and approved sewage treatment facility or device which has been provided in accordance with the provisions of this article. Only unpolluted water shall be acceptable for discharge to a natural watercourse within the city.

    (b)

    Except as provided in this article, it shall be unlawful to install any cesspool, septic tank, lagoon or other facility intended or used for the disposal of sewage.
