§ 118-207. Receipts; records.

(a)

After receiving full payment for a trip, the driver of any taxicab shall, upon request, give a receipt to the passenger for such payment. All receipts shall contain serial numbers registered with the holder of the certificate of convenience and necessity under which the taxicab is operated, and the form of such receipts shall be approved by the department of regulatory affairs. The statement "receipts available upon request" shall be mounted inside every taxicab so as to be easily discernible to passengers at all times.

(b)

The certificate holder shall maintain adequate records setting forth the name of each taxicab driver in his employ and the serial numbers of the receipts issued by the driver within the three-month period preceding the current date.
