§ 2-272. Tax increment financing (T.I.F.) commission.

  • (a)

    The commission shall consist of seven members.

    (b)

    The seven commission members shall be recommended by the mayor and approved by the city council on the basis of fitness or competence for their duty. All members shall serve without pay.

    (c)

    The commissioners shall be appointed for terms of one for one year, two for two years and three for three years. Thereafter, at the expiration of each of the above terms, commission members will be appointed for terms of three years each.

    (d)

    The T.I.F. commission shall elect a chairman from among the appointed members, and shall make rules and regulations as are necessary for the performance of its duties.

    (e)

    Recommendations by the mayor and set the terms of the commissioners with approval by the city council.
